To be “in_between” is to stand at the crossroads of transformation, where the familiar meets the unknown. A term derived from the Latin word “limen,” meaning “threshold,” refers to those moments, periods, or phases when we find ourselves suspended between what was and what will be. Often marked by ambiguity, uncertainty, and potential, being in_between can be both unsettling and exhilarating.
It is a period of restlessness, a rite of passage, an end, and a beginning. Our cohort has only existed in the in_between during our time at VCFA. As we journey through life’s myriad changes—whether chosen or unexpected, joyful or challenging—we all, at one point or another, experience the profound metamorphosis of existing in_between.
